Cable & Wireless Rocks the Block... Last Friday Night on Fort Street

Cable & Wireless continued to do its bit to pound off the effects left by the hurricane last Friday (8 October), when the company sponsored a massive street jam "Rock the Block" in downtown George Town, where DJ's blasted out the latest sounds and people had the opportunity to socialise, eat, drink and share their own Ivan stories.

Throughout the evening Cable & Wireless ran text messaging competitions with the opportunity to win phone cards, phones and the big prize of tickets for two to Miami. Matthew Seales was the lucky winner of the tickets.

Sponsors included Monster Entertainment, Heineken, Jacques Scott and Bacchus all of whom will be donating some of the proceeds from the evening. Vibe FM provided the sound equipment and their DJs TNT, Doctor and Hollerman provided the latest music, rapping and commentary.

The proceeds of the event are scheduled to go towards the hurricane relief fund to assist the people affected by Ivan the Terrible, who may be gone but is certainly not forgotten.
