Cayman Cocktail Week Offers a Full Lineup of Parties, Culinary Events, Seminars and More to Inspire and Educate.

During the week of October 23rd through 30th, cocktail connoisseurs can unite and enjoy Grand Cayman’s official Cocktail Week. Jacques Scott launched the event in 2013 to celebrate Cayman’s cocktail culture. The 2015 week of events is organized by the island’s largest beer and wine distributors and has over 25 venues signed up to participate.

The week kicks off at Icoa Fine Foods on Friday evening with a special a la carte menu of fresh seafood dishes paired with Ketel One and champagne cocktails. Saturday, Casa 43 will host Tequila & Tapas from 12:30-2:30pm. The restaurant will feature a Tequila bar with a tapas tasting. Craft Food and Beverage Company will have brunch on the 24th and 25th from 10:30am to 3pm with a Bloody Mary bar.

Agua Restaurant and Lounge will host the main event of Cocktail Week with Ernest Hemingway’s Cocktail Dinner. Each of the five high-end courses will be named after one of the author and cocktail connoisseur’s books.

The week will close with a Rum Tasting at Kaibo Upstairs with Appleton’s Master Blender Joyce Spence presiding. The oldest barrel-aged rum in the world will be on hand for tasting and goes for $3,500 a bottle. Canapes and cocktails made from 12 year old Appleton will also be available for sampling.

Many other restaurants are also featuring specials for the anticipated Cocktail Week. For those interested in attending the festivities, luxury rentals are available at many Grand Cayman resorts in the area.
