Incredible Cayman Rum Aged Seven Fathoms Deep
First created on Barbados sugarcane plantations in the 1600s, rum is a spirit generally made with sugarcane or its by-products like molasses. Seven Fathoms Rum, made here in the Cayman Islands, is a molasses-based rum that is aged in American White Oak bourbon casks seven fathoms below the surface of the ocean in an undisclosed location.

How to Enjoy Seven Fathoms Rum
Seven Fathoms Rum is an excellent, versatile rum that you can enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. Grab a blender to whip up these classic mixed drinks perfected by molasses-based rums like Seven Fathoms.
Classic Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Seven Fathoms rum
- 1 oz. lime juice
- ¾ oz. rich simple syrup
- Lime wedge for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add all of the ingredients to the shaker.
- Shake thoroughly until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled serving glass.
- Garnish with lime.
- (Optional preparation) – Blend all ingredients, except the garnish, in a blender with ice for a frozen daiquiri on a hot Cayman day!
Classic Pina Colada (makes 2 drinks)
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups frozen pineapple
- 1 ½ cups ice
- 5 oz. Seven Fathoms rum
- 2 oz. Coco Real Cream of Coconut
- 4 oz. pineapple juice
- 1 oz. lime juice
- Cocktail cherry for garnish
Instructions:
- Blend the pineapple and ice together just until chopped up.
- Add the rum, cream of coconut, and both juices. Blend to smooth.
- Garnish with a cherry when served.
