Corona Extra
Corona Extra is a Pilsner-type beer that has been brewed and bottled domestically in Mexico since 1925. It was introduced in the U.S. in 1981, and became the fastest growing imported beer in U.S. history. It has a slightly sweet taste with a dash of citrus and hints of lemon and ginger. Outside Mexico, Corona Extra is typically served with a wedge of lime or lemon in the neck of the bottle to add tartness and flavor.
Corona Light
Corona Light, brewed by Grupo Modelo S.A. de C.V. in Mexico, is a Pilsner-style lager with a uniquely refreshing taste, a light flavor, and a crisp, clean finish. It was introduced in the United States in 1989 and quickly exploded in popularity, becoming the first imported beer to sell more than a million cases during its first full year of distribution. It has a pale golden yellow color, a fruity-honey aroma, and is best served chilled. With only 99 calories and 5 grams of carbohydrates, it’s a favorite of people seeking a flavorful light beer.
