In 1976, Ron Zacapa Rum was first made in recognition of the 100 year anniversary of its namesake’s city’s founding. This Guatemalan rum is made from virgin sugar cane rather than rum, fermented with yeast from pineapple, and aged high in the atmosphere within various styles of casks to produce layered, unique, and rich depths of aromatics, body, flavor, and color.
Ron Zacapa 23 has 40% ABV and is aged between 6-23 years in barrels formerly used for American whiskey and wine. This full-bodied rum offers notes of caramelized fruits, vanilla, and spiced oak.
Ron Zacapa XO also has 40% ABV and is best sipped neat or over ice and pairs best with dessert or dark chocolate.

Zacapa Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Zacapa No. 23 Rum
- 1 oz. lime juice
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- Lime wedge
Instructions:
- Add the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake thoroughly until chilled.
- Strain into a serving glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
Zacapa Sour
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Zacapa No. 23 Rum
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ oz. simple syrup
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake thoroughly until chilled.
- Strain into a serving glass.
Zacapa Signature Old-Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Zacapa No. 23 Rum
- ¼ oz. simple syrup
- 1 dash aromatic bitters
- 1 dash chocolate bitters
- Grapefruit peel
- Dark chocolate
Instructions:
- In an ice-filled mixing glass, add Zacapa Rum, simple syrup, and both types of bitters.
- Stir well.
- Strain into a serving glass.
- Zest grapefruit peel and grate dark chocolate over the top.
