Popular Attractions in the Cayman Islands

Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits is the leading wholesaler and retailer of premium wines, beers and spirits in the Cayman Islands. We offer:

Hit the Beach

You can’t avoid spectacular beaches in the Cayman Islands. The largest and most popular is Seven Mile Beach, where you’ll find most of the resorts and most of the people. If you’re looking for a quieter, more peaceful, but equally lovely stretch of sand, consider these alternatives:

  • Starfish Point: The crystal-clear water at this beach, on the northeast tip of Grand Cayman, also known as Ivory Kai Point, is often full of amazing orange Cushion Starfish that gather here to feed on micro-organisms found on the seabed, depending on the season and tide. Snap photos, but don’t remove them from the water or think about keeping one (they’re protected by law, and you will risk a fine or prison time).
  • Smith Barcadere: This little beach, also called Smith Cove, is located in a residential neighborhood in South Sound. Surrounded by turquoise waters and protected by coral and limestone formations, it’s a popular swimming and snorkeling site. You’ll find public restrooms, picnic benches and outdoor showers, as well as shade under the Grape trees that frame the beach.
  • Rum Point: This expansive beach is on the north side of Grand Cayman, about 10 miles from George Town. Lounge in a hammock in the shade of the Casuarina trees or snorkel out beyond the shallow beach area, where you’ll enjoy swimming with sea turtles, sting rays, parrot fish and lobsters. And, don’t miss the Wreck Bar and Grill where you can savor authentic island cuisine and delicious cocktails.

Embark on a Unique Adventure

Visit the Cayman Turtle Farm which is home to thousands of Green Sea Turtles, ranging in size from six ounces to 600 pounds each. It is the only facility of its kind in the world. Stingray City and its string of shallow sandbars is another of our most popular attractions. Observe and interact with these “gentle giants,” hold them, feed them with squid treats, and even swim alongside them.

Dive and Snorkel

Discover a whole new world under the bright blue waters of beautiful Grand Cayman. Sites like East End’s Babylon, with its colorful rope sponges and black coral, the North Wall, which makes up the edge of the Cayman Trench that runs from Cuba to Central America, and West Bay’s Northwest Point Drop Off, one of the most colorful dive sites in the entire Caribbean, will take you on an undersea adventure. Another great snorkel or dive is the USS Kittiwake, a 251-foot-long former submarine support ship that was sunk in 2011 to serve as an artificial reef.

No matter how many trips you make to the Cayman Islands, there are a wide range of popular attractions to enjoy. Be sure to stop at Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits for your favorite beer, wines and spirits. We will deliver your order free anywhere on the Island.
