Origins of Pascal Jolivet Wines
In 1926, the Jolivet family found its way into the wine world as cellar masters, developing expertise and a distribution network. In 1983, Jacques Jolivet purchased a small trading company and his son, Pascal, took over management at age 25. Pascal then began the Pascal Jolivet brand in 1987.
In order to develop the brand, Pascal developed facilities in the Sancerre region to produce wine in 1990, and in 1993, the brand acquired vineyards in the most beautiful terroirs.
1995 and 1996 vintages saw Pascal olivet Sanerre Blanc wines in the top 100 best wines of the year.
Growth continued with a new cellar built in 2001 and more vineyards purchased. Pascal Jolivet wines have their own style, distinguished by purity and elegance, made through organic vinification.
