Domaine De Chevalier Rouge

The 2017 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge has a deep garnet-purple color and a nose of black cherry, plum, and violets, with secondary notes of earth and rosehip tea. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied with juicy fruit, plush tannins, and a lively finish, showing flavors of cassis, plum, and fig, balanced by spice, licorice, and black tea notes. The wine is a blend of about 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot, spent 18 months in French oak, and is noted for its aging potential, recommended to be aged until at least 2023.
