The wine is full-bodied with a dark garnet colour. The nose is redolent with black cherry and dark plums, with a hint of violets. On the palate, there is cassis, dark chocolate, black liquorice and tobacco. Tannins are firm, but not harsh, leading to a long lingering finish.
