From a family-owned single vineyard at Mangatahi, high on the ancient alluvial shingle terraces above the Ngaruroro River, this is one of the most elevated sites in Hawke’s Bay. North-facing slopes soak up long, hot summer days while cool nights hold the acidity, giving a Sauvignon Blanc with more restraint and elegance than the Marlborough style most people know. Expect white flowers and fresh lime on the nose, bright citrus and subtle stone fruit on the palate, and a clean, dry, mineral finish.
