Diplomático Mantuano – 700ml

Mantuano is the entry point to Diplomático, the Venezuelan house behind Reserva Exclusiva, and it’s the bottle to keep for cocktails that deserve better than a mixing rum. A blend of pot and column still rums aged up to eight years in ex-bourbon casks, it’s drier than its famous sibling and built for versatility.

Toffee, vanilla, dried fruit and a little tobacco on the nose, with a medium-bodied, gently spiced palate and a clean, warm finish. Smooth enough to sip over ice, with enough backbone to carry a Daiquiri, an Old Fashioned or a Rum and Coke.

Named for the Mantuanos, the landowning families of colonial Venezuela.
