Highland Park Vintage 1990

Highland Park’s Vintage 1990 is one of the rarest whiskies the Orkney distillery has released. Distilled in 1990, it spent more than three decades in cask before Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion selected five exceptional hogsheads (three European oak, one American oak, one refill, all first matured in sherry-seasoned wood) and married them together in August 2023. Bottled at 44.9% with natural colour.

The nose opens with ripe orchard pears, bittersweet grapefruit, geranium and sweet violet, laced with the distillery’s signature heather peat smoke. The palate brings pink grapefruit and mandarin against vanilla, coconut and nutmeg, and the finish is long, fruity and gently smoky, with the oak in balance after all those years.

Serve neat, in good company, on an occasion that deserves it. Presented in a wooden gift box. One bottle available.
