Santa Julia La Vaquita Organic Clarete Natural

Clarete is the old Spanish and Argentine style of pale red wine, made by fermenting red and white grapes together for a colour that sits between rosé and light red. Santa Julia’s La Vaquita is the natural, organic take: wild yeast, no fining, minimal sulphur, a little cloudy in the glass.

Expect crunchy red fruit, sour cherry, a hint of herbs and a fresh, slightly grippy finish. Light-bodied, low in alcohol and made to be served cold.

Chill it hard and treat it like a rosé with more to say: empanadas, grilled chorizo, tomato salads, or a plate of cheese on a hot afternoon.
