The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak

Sherry Oak is the whisky that made The Macallan’s name. It’s matured for twelve years exclusively in oak casks that have been seasoned with oloroso sherry in Jerez, Spain, which is where the deep amber colour and the signature richness come from. No caramel, no shortcuts.

On the nose, dried fruits, sherry sweetness and wood smoke. On the palate, raisins, dates, orange peel, ginger and a hint of dark chocolate, with a long, warming, spiced finish. Full-bodied and smooth, with the sherry cask running right through it.

Serve neat or with a drop of water. A whisky for a special evening, a Christmas gift that needs no explanation, or the start of a collection.
