Zuccardi Polígonos Tupungato Sauvignon Blanc
JW3057KYD $31.99
Single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from the Uco Valley: herbal, citrus-driven and mineral rather than tropical.
Zuccardi’s Polígonos Sauvignon Blanc comes from Tupungato, a single high-altitude plot at the northern end of the Uco Valley and is made in the same hands-off style as the rest of the series: concrete, wild yeast, no new oak.
It’s a Sauvignon Blanc of the cooler, more restrained kind: grapefruit, lime zest, fresh-cut herbs and a flinty, stony edge, with racy acidity and a dry, saline finish. Think Loire rather than Marlborough.
Serve well chilled with goat’s cheese, asparagus, green salads, or grilled white fish.
Zuccardi Valle de Uco, Polígonos Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina.
