Sonoma-Cutrer The Cutrer Chardonnay

The Cutrer is the single-vineyard flagship of Sonoma-Cutrer, one of California’s original Chardonnay specialists. It comes from the estate’s Cutrer Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, where fog off the Pacific keeps the fruit fresh through a long ripening season.

Barrel-fermented and aged in French oak, it layers baked apple, pear, lemon curd and a touch of honey over toasted hazelnut and vanilla, with a creamy texture held together by bright acidity. Rich without being heavy, and long.

Serve cool, not ice cold. Lobster, roast chicken, crab cakes, or a Christmas turkey.
