Mount Gay Single Estate Series 1 – 2023

This is the first single-estate rum from Mount Gay and the inaugural bottling in an annual series which showcases the Barbadian terroir. Molasses from estate-grown sugarcane was harvested in both 2016 and 2017 and fermented, distilled, matured and blended on-site. In the glass, it has a light golden hue, with aromas of baked pear, freshly cut flowers and dried fruit on the nose, complemented by notes of roasted pineapple, leather and anise on the palate. The resulting rum was patiently aged for six to seven years, and only 4,002 numbered bottles were produced.
